SNAP farmers market guide
There are more than 730,000 low-income Hoosiers who have farmers market and on-farm SNAP availaibility in their local communities. We're committed to connecting our neighbors in need with their local farmers markets, farms, CSAs, mobile markets and locally-owned and operated grocers.
As of December 2018, 156 Indiana farmers markets and farm markets in 54 counties accept SNAP & EBT via Hoosier Works cards. That's more than $125,000 annually retained in our local agricultural economy!
Hoosier Farmers Markets believe every individual and family ought to have access to fresh, local food whether they make $5,000 or $500,000 a year.
We have a few things up our sleeves to assist SNAP beneficiaries and farmers.
How You Can Help
We're looking for partners to help us bring SNAP to It! to participating SNAP farmers market counties. If you are a community foundation, township trustee's office, business, faith-based congregation, or nonprofit that is interested in hosting a conversation, co-hosting a workshop, or sponsoring an event, please let us know! We'd love to have everyone at the local foods table.
